Course aim
To introduce you to the genre of Street Photography.
Course description
This workshop will introduce students to the genre of street photography. Students will explore the work of established street photographers, critique their work and put fun and interactive approaches to street photography into practice.
Due to Street Photography being a process of capturing images as life happens there will be very little classroom time. Students will be immersed in a range of activities that will allow them to develop their instincts in order to predict that decisive moment.
Previous skills or experience needed?
Yes, ideally you would have been on a previous camera course and have a good understand of the fundamentals of Photography.
You will be confident in using your camera on full manual or semi-automatic modes.
What will students achieve?
You will learn techniques and approaches used by masters of street photography to help you hone your practice. You will be briefed on your rights and the laws around taking photographs in public.
Is there anything our organisation needs to provide?
A DSLR Camera, or a camera which allows you take manual control of its features.
A notebook and a pen.
Comfortable walking shoes.
