Course aim
To develop fundamental skills in using a DSLR Camera for film making and basic video editing.
Course description
This two-day workshop is a fun and practical course that will teach you how to use your DSLR camera for film making. Perfect for anything from family films and events to your own short productions and maybe some music videos.
On this course you will learn about the functions your cameras have for making films as well as explore basic video editing software.
Working alongside an industry professional, student will learn:
· idea generation
· story boarding
· camera techniques
· equipment handling, different shot types, tripods
· audio recording
· basic video editing
Your students will produce a short film by the end of the workshop.

What will students achieve?
Students will develop team work and leadership skills through the workshop. Students will also increase their technical skills, knowledge and language with regards to film making.
Is there anything our organisation needs to provide?
A notebook, your camera (however we can provide one of our own if you would like to use it) Tripod if you have one and a microphone for your camera if you have one.
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
