Course description

This online course will introduce students to the world of photography.

Students will take part in a range of practical sessions and challenges that will enable them to increase their knowledge and understanding of photography. Covering topics such as:

• What is photography

• Composition

• Portrait photography

What equipment will I need?

This course does require you to have a digital camera, but it does not have to be a professional one. Any from the list below is fine. 

• A camera phone

• Tablet 

• Digital camera

• DSLR 

What will students achieve?

Students will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of photography and learn how to capture nice photos. In addition the course will help to enrich creativity, grow confidence and resilience and develop problem solving skills. 

Is there anything students need to bring?

Please ensure the student has access to a computer and a zoom account to log on for lessons. They will need a notebook, and may need some support from an adult with the classroom and homework activities.
