Course aim
To develop fundamental skills in photography.
Course description
This workshop is very practical and hands on and is designed to introduce students to the world of photography.
Working on DSLR cameras students will learn the technical fundamentals of photography including:
· Camera handling
· Shutter speeds
· ISO
· Aperture
· Image composition and more
Students will take part in a range of practical sessions and challenges that will enable them to increase their knowledge and understanding of photography and produce an exhibition of their photographs at the end of the course.

What will students achieve?
Students will gain Arts Award qualification appropriate to their age and level when they successfully complete this course. This is a nationally recognised qualification which certifies the development of their music skills, knowledge and experience.
Students will develop in confidence, teamwork, leadership, motivation and resilience.
Is there anything students need to bring?
No, we will provide all the equipment students need, however if students own their own DSLR cameras and would prefer to use them they are welcome to bring them to the course. The student remains responsible for safeguarding of their own equipment.
