Course aim
To develop skills in music making using a range of technologies and creative approaches.
Course description
One this course students will develop skills in music making through music technology and creative participation. This is not a music tuition course. Instead students will develop their musicality through group work drawing on inspiration from the genres of music that interest them.
On the course students will explore:
Song writing
Vocal recording
Music technology
Sampling
Instruments and more
The course will conclude with student’s contribution to the creation of a CD with their musical creations on them.

What will students achieve?
Students will gain Arts Award qualification appropriate to their age and level when they successfully complete this course. This is a nationally recognised qualification which certifies the development of their music skills, knowledge and experience.
Students will develop in confidence, teamwork, leadership, motivation and resilience.
Is there anything students need to bring?
No, we provide the equipment needed. However, if students’ own instruments that they want to bring they are more than welcome to. Responsibility for the safety of any instruments remains with the student.
